Nemus was responsible for the environmental and archaeological monitoring of the Videmonte wind farm in order to ensure the compliance with the measures defined in the environmental impact assessment for the construction phase.
Situated in Serra do Ralo, in the Serra da Estrela natural park, this wind farm is comprised of 16 wind turbines producing 2 MW each, a medium current density (20 kV) cable fittings laid underground, a distribution substation, a command centre and an accessibility network.
Nemus verified and documented the implementation of the recommended environmental measures and provided environmental technical assistance services, from which resulted the production and verification of an environmental monitoring plan and various actions to promote environmental awareness. The archaeological monitoring enabled the discovery and preservation of many archeological remains, including two engraved stelae dated from the Late Bronze Age.
