The multimodal logistics platform of Poceirão is Logistic Portugal’s largest, a development program of 11 large logistics centers throughout the territory, defined by the Government to enhance economic activity and rearrange logistic and transport flows. The Poceirão platform is projected to support logistics and transport needs of the Lisbon Metropolitan area, especially those arising from the movements of the Lisbon, Sines and Setúbal harbours, boosting the growth of regional, national and international logistics transactions.
Nemus conducted the supporting environmental study for the candidacy to the project of potential national interest for the consortium responsible for the conception, financing and utilization of this platform. The study focused on the geology and geomorphology descriptors, groundwater resources, surface water resources, environmental quality (air, noise climate and waste), landscape, ecology, land use and the management of land and historical and cultural heritage.
