Nemus developed six projects in the Leixões Harbour, some of which in collaboration with Consulmar: the environmental impact assessment of the rotation basin and the access channel to the no. 4 dock, a deep sampling of sediments, geophysical prospection, the environmental impact assessment, the environmental compliance report of the implementation project and the characterization of sediments and the deposit location of dredged material from the new multi-purpose terminal.
These studies were essential to increase the efficiency and profitability of port activity of the second largest port in Portugal in regard to ship and cargo movement, by improving the navigability conditions of the access to the interior docks and increasing the capacity of cargo ship reception in the Leixões Harbour.
This is just one example of the long working experience in the harbour field. In Portugal, Nemus has performed significant projects in practically all harbours and for all harbour authorities.
